1. Are you part of Social Services?
No, we are not. We are a local church in Singapore with a desire to help the community during this time of need.
2. Who is eligible for assistance?
This initiative is meant to help those who have physical or financial difficulties in getting groceries because of the current COVID-19 situation.
3. Since you are a Church, is the support made available to Christians only?
No, this initiative is available to anyone in need regardless of race or religion.
4. Where are you getting your groceries from?
Groceries will be primarily purchased from local supermarkets. Do let us know if you have alternative retailers or suppliers that we could partner with.
5. Can I choose the items in my grocery bag?
Yes, we have a pre-determined list of groceries that you can choose from. This would allow us to effectively meet your needs and at the same time minimise wastage.
6. As a beneficiary, how many grocery care packs can I request for each time?
Each household is entitled to 1 grocery care pack, up to an estimated value of $30.
7. How is this initiative funded?
This initiative is non-profit and is wholly dependent on donations from the community. We welcome financial contributions of any amount from any individuals or organisations. If you are keen to give to the cause, you can transfer your donations via PayNow to 3:16 Church – UEN T13SS0015L001 and indicate “One Home” in the remarks.
8. Can anyone volunteer?
Certainly, we welcome volunteers regardless of race and religion. We are aware of the tighter stay home measures so you can purchase the groceries and we will arrange for someone to pick it up and deliver.
9. Collection of Personal Data
We collect your Personal Data when you voluntarily provide it to us. For example, you will be required to provide your personal data to us when your sign up for the service or when you sign up to be a volunteer. We will take measures to ensure that your personal data is protected. Those processing your personal data will do so in an authorised manner and will be required to treat your information with confidentiality.
10. What would happen to any excess funds collected after the initiative ceases?
We will be donating any excess funds to the social organisation(s) that have partnered with us during the course of this initiative.
